Overview

Waterway has an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Communications Coordinator. This critical and high-impact new role will drive the growth and success of our loyalty initiatives through the development and implementation of tactics to attract, retain, and deepen relationships with loyalty program members. Partnering closely with leadership, you’ll develop tactics to increase customer satisfaction and long-term value, and program profitability.

 

We’re looking for a results-driven team player with strong business acumen and a passion for continuous improvement. This senior-level role calls for a tactical expert who can execute programs, analyze performance, and make clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll coordinate customer communications across channels and collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, IT, and other key partners to drive results.

 

This full-time position will be based in-office at our Chesterfield, MO Corporate office (727 Goddard Ave. Chesterfield, MO 63005) and report to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate customer communication programs to improve the size, health, and profitability of Waterway’s Clean Car Club® and text club memberships.
  • Create and manage campaigns across e-mail, SMS, paid media, and other digital channels using tools like Brevo.
  • Analyze results and run A/B tests on messaging, timing, and offers and more to improve performance
  • Segment audiences and personalize communications based on customer behavior
  • Support loyalty and upsell efforts with timely, relevant messaging
  • Track and report on KPIs like growth, retention, engagement, churn, costs and value
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to align goals and strategy
  • Work with external and internal partners, ensuring brand and communication consistency
  • Occasional travel may be required to support store teams

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in marketing, communications, or related field)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in customer communications, CRM, or loyalty or membership-based marketing
  • Experience with marketing automation, e-mail, SMS, and analytical tools (e.g., Brevo, Google Analytics)
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience working cross functionally with analytics, IT and Operations
  • Strong data reporting and analytics skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer lifecycle metrics (e.g., churn, LTV)
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements in loyalty membership, engagement, and retention
  • Experience with digital marketing channels including paid media, SEO, and social media
  • A type A mindset – highly organized, deadline-driven, and fueled by efficiency
  • A strong sense of ownership—takes initiative and follows through with discipline and precision
  • Relentless attention to detail; a natural quality checker who sees what others miss
  • A methodical approach to managing multiple campaigns
  • High levels of drive, passion, and ambition—an enthusiastic team player
  • Superior written, verbal, and active listening skills

Physical Requirements

  • Environmental – office based, with requirement to be able to work onsite at locations outside for limited periods of time.
  • Physical – must be able to walk, sit for extended periods of time.
  • Vision and Hearing – Far and near visual acuity, peripheral vision and depth perception. Hear, understand, and distinguish speech from other sounds.
  • Language – must be able to fluently speak and understand English when communicating with other team members, managers, and customers for business related purposes.
  • Attendance – maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Work as assigned schedule.
